We provide creative solutions to children’s health:
New Horizons Solutions provides healthcare-related services that promote the health of children, adolescents, and their families. We mobilize and engage communities and explore models that financially secure the future of community-based health centers. New Horizons Solutions does this by using management expertise and applying proven technologies.
Our Health-e Kids initiative provides access to public health screenings and offers interventional alternatives to under-served communities in Tennessee. Our solutions are accomplished through conducting comprehensive exams based on federally mandated EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment) requirements for individuals ages 3-21, to include:
Comprehensive health history, including development/ behavioral screenings
Complete physical examinations
Vision, hearing and dental screenings
Immunization review
Appropriate laboratory tests as indicated by age, health history and examination findings
Health education and guidance
New Horizons Solutions™ exams are preventive examinations; we do not provide medical or dental treatment to children.
New Horizons Solutions™ Services are reimbursed through TENNderCare and other government programs. Therefore the services are provided at no cost to schools, parents, guardians or children.
Children are referred to their primary care provider or a specialist if a health issue or problem is detected.
If an urgent or serious problem is identified, New Horizons Solutions™ will immediately contact the parents or guardians and the school staff is notified.

Management Consulting:
We have extensive experience working with senior management teams in facilitating planning. We help them to focus on critical issues and bringing them to consensus on strategies and action plans for success.
Outreach:
We set up outreach efforts into the communities needing services. We work with strategic partners in those communities, whether it be translation issues, transportation issues, or communication issues. We know how to reach the audience and produce results.
Screening and Diagnosis:
New Horizons Solutions’ team of professionals provide on-site well-child exams. We support and refer treatment to existing medical providers as well as working with health agencies to provide more efficient delivery of the well-child screening and referrals for treatment if needed.
Dental Screening:
New Horizons Solutions has partnered with the Meharry Medical College, School of Pediatric Dentistry to provide dental screens for children.
Vision Screening:
25% of school aged children suffer from a vision issue. New Horizons Solutions provides mobile “state of the art” technology to detect vision conditions in children. We use PediaVision’s Spot Vision Screening Technology which is designed to work easily with toddlers. Spot provides accurate, reliable data in seconds.
Best Practices:
We provide the processes to identify, share, and implement best practices across providers, agencies, and managed care organizations.
DOT compliant Drug and Alcohol Testing:
Complete drug screening services and breath alcohol testing. We offer both DOT and non-DOT testing as well as instant drug screening options to fit the needs of your company. If you already have a program in place, we can handle all the collections at your site or at one of the clinics we utilize. If your company would like to start a substance abuse program, we can assist you in the set up and implementation. We work with nationally recognized laboratories and are able to bundle a complete package for you, including setup, laboratory testing, MRO services, and collections. Our prices are very competitive.
